The diary entries of Bijoya have been used in the making of this book, which she had been maintaining since he died in 1992.

The author has drawn a spirited portrait of Satyajit, by telling readers about his passions which include western classical music. The book talks about how he had no interest in shopping or keeping any money in his wallet and a long list of his peculiar behavioral patterns. The author also penned down the joyous days of their time together as a married couple.
